I've got a 2002 E39 530i that I absolutely love and a 2021 M340i that I use as my daily, and finding a shop that can work on both without screwing something up has been a nightmare. The older car needs someone who understands analog diagnostics and doesn't rely only on a laptop, while the new one needs all the fancy coding and software stuff. Most places I call either specialize in new cars and won't touch the E39, or they're old school mechanics who look lost when I mention anything electronic. A buddy told me to look for a quality BMW garage for all models and said he found one through bmw garage, but I don't know anyone who's actually tested them with such different generations. Has anyone here used a single shop for both an older and newer BMW? I'm in Abu Dhabi and willing to drive a bit if the work is solid. Just tired of juggling two different garages and hoping neither one messes up.
